On your way

Our desire is to see pleasant travellers everywhere! How can one be a pleasant and decent traveller? We aim the person who drives the vehicle which keeps everybody happy on the journey. It’s so simple to be pleasant if you decide right now. One who respects the other travellers, pedestrians or other users of the road, which is a public property, becomes pleasant !!

Remember speed is a thriller and a killer. Why you travel is to enjoy with your family or colleagues. By travelling slow, reasonable speed will slow down your thinking, your body and allow you to absorb the environment passing through, allow you to talk with other travel partners. Isn’t it enjoyable? As you know, roadways in Sri Lanka are not the same everywhere. There could be humps and pits in the middle of roads. Be careful when passing and overtaking other vehicles. Remember there are very few pleasant travellers, but once you become pleasant there will be a day that everybody will become pleasant. Stick to Good Travel Etiquettes.

Do not allow to throwing litter or any scraps when you are moving and keep all the rubbish with you until a proper place to dispose of them is reached.

Be careful when parking. Make sure that you always lock the vehicle. Some places there are people who ask money for parking, ask the rate beforehand. Some people wash your vehicle; ask agree to an amount beforehand.

Talk to people when you want to get photographs and get their consent. Remember, not only people, there are places (with historical value) where you are not allowed to take photographs.

When your vehicle breaks down, find out where you are, near which Km post. The road map shows you the nearest garage; seek for help from another traveller. In any case do not leave anybody inside the car without opening shutters. It is a good practice that you too help if you see somebody seeking help on the road, but be very careful !!
